Geographic Information System (GIS)
We use GIS to map and analyse facilities relative to their environment. This provides spatial data to inform emergency planning (identifying evacuation routes, assembly points and access for response vehicles, for example) environmental impact assessments (how the facility influences and is influenced by surrounding buildings, infrastructure and topography) and infrastructure provision (creating safe, efficient traffic flows, access for service vehicles and so on).
